Dr Malik hosted a session at the British Cardiovascular Society Annual Meeting in Manchester this week. Trainees were taken through their paces, as we simulated what can go wrong during angiograms and angioplasties. Norma was our actress (in the gown), and did a fantastic job “being anxious”, “being chatty” and “being very sick”. Dr Malik’s Team from Imperial College, London, gave their time for free, and travelled to Manchester to showcase this vital training experience. It is a major new contribution to patient safety. Those interested should contact him, or Dr Tanika Kelay. She helps coordinate the events (t.kelay@imperial.ac.uk). Well done to the team! More events to come in London.
