Dr Malik – BBC World – Lancet Study says we should take blood pressure in both arms

Iqbal rushed down to the BBC on Monday to comment on a study recently published in the Lancet Medical Journal. The Study, by a group of GP’s, is a meta analysis (review of existing data) looking at the differences in blood pressure between the different arms. They cam to the conclusion that there is a significant difference in blood pressure between the left and right arm and this difference could be due to hardening of the arteries which is in turn a risk factor for heart disease. Check out the video to see how Iqbal thinks this might affect clinical practice.
