Transcatheter aortic valve intervention (TAVI) is an amazing advance in the treatment of patients with severe aortic valve stenosis who are at high risk for conventional surgery. The National Institute for Health and Clinical excellence (NICE) have published an excellent summary of the evidence for this new treatment.
