Dr Malik was honoured to be invited as faculty to the Joint Interventional Meeting (JIM) in Milan to talk about one of his favourite topics – PFO closure. A PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale) is a normal finding in 25% of the population, but can be associated with stroke, decompression illness, and perhaps migraine.
