Dr Malik does the UK’s 1st PFO closure with the new delivery system from Occlutech: “The Pistol Pusher”
PFO closure is done to reduce the risk of stroke in some patients, and decompression illness in some divers. The picture shows the Figulla device that he commonly uses. In practice, the device is prepared with the new introducer cable: “The Pistol Pusher”. It works well, and seems easy to use.
